The Stars Align: Season 7 AREA All-Star Race Set for May 27th at Michigan

May 22, 2025 —

The most electric night of the AREA iRacing calendar is here. The Season 7 All-Star Race is locked in for Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, and it’s bringing something brand new to the table — a debut at Michigan International Speedway, featuring the newly updated ARCA cars. For the first time in league history, the #AREAAllStarRace will be held at the 2-mile oval in Brooklyn, Michigan, promising high speeds, strategy, and a shot at glory.

Event Format & Schedule

The festivities kick off at 8:15 PM ET with practice and lobby opening for the All-Star Open — a last-chance qualifier for any active AREA driver who’s made a start in Cup, Truck, or Pro Series this season. The Open gives drivers one shot to earn their way into the main event.

  • All-Star Open Format:

    • 40-minute practice

    • 1-lap qualifying

    • 35-lap race split into two segments:

      • Segment 1: 15 laps → segment winner transfers into All-Star Race

      • Segment 2: 20 laps → top 2 finishers transfer into All-Star Race

That means three drivers will advance from the Open into the All-Star Race main event.

Main Event Structure

Once the dust settles from the Open, the Season 7 All-Star Race will begin. The 30 drivers already locked into the show will be joined by the 3 Open transfers.

  • 1-lap qualifying (Open transfers must not set a lap and will start at the rear)

  • Two 10-lap heat races to determine the inside and outside lanes for the grid

    • Each heat winner earns $10

  • 30-lap All-Star Race main event

    • Winner receives $100 and all the bragging rights

The entire night will be broadcast live starting at 8:45 PM ET on:
